2020 Polka Dot Bra Sponsor is Brutten Family Foundation

2020 Polka Dot (King of the Mountain) Bra Award Sponsor is The Brutten Family Foundation

We are excited to announce that The Brutten Family Foundation is sponsoring our Polka Dot Bra Award, otherwise know as the King of the Mountain! The Brutten Family Foundation is associated with our San Diego Start/Finish located in the parking lot of the Brixton building.  We love pairing with other organizations that are up to great things, and the Brutten Family Foundation is just that! It is a private U. S. foundation that focuses on helping San Diego charities, to include Make-A-Wish, children's museums and centers, as well as some San Diego schools. The Brutten Family Foundation's philanthropic concentration includes:

  • environment and sustainability
  • education
  • at-risk youth in the Western US.
The Polka Dot Bra is modeled after Le Tour de France's King of the Mountain, which is awarded to the cyclist who excels in the mountain stages. The cyclist who wins this title for each stage, gets to wear a white and red polka dot jersey. For The Boob Ride, our "mountainous" stages are the 90 mile routes that go up through the Elfin Forest and then back down to the coast. However, in true Boob Ride fashion, cyclists can campaign for this award regardless of their cycling skills or route. For an overview of all of our awards and their history, click here.
Last year, we had our first woman to win the Polka-Dot Bra Award! See pictures of all the past winners below.
