Campaign Story

All of my sisters have been affected by breast cancer, every one of them and one sister-in-law.  We lost our sister, Sheila, to this disease, multiple sisters have had reoccurrences and all of us continue to live with the fear of reoccurrence.

When my sisters’ breast cancer diagnoses began materializing, one after the other, I felt helpless against this disease. I worried about the toll it would take on our family.  I feared the impact it would have on our children and whether our daughters would also carry this burden as we have.  So, I put on my cycling shorts and laced up my shoes and began riding and walking towards a word without breast cancer! I choose life and positive action. I submerge myself in a community of hope and I am committed to helping those confronted with a breast cancer diagnosis by Funding the Last Mile of Breast Cancer treatment!
