The Boob Ride and Bike For Humanity

This weekend was supposed to be our 11th annual Boob Ride, but as a result of Coronavirus, we are postponing the event (more details to follow). However, we are excited to support and promote Bill Walton's Bike For Humanity! This is a virtual event that will take place this Saturday April 25, 2020. The event is FREE and riders can also donate to the charities who are supporting people affected by Coronavirus including Feeding America, Father Joe's Villages, #GetUsPPT, and Champions for Health.

Where Does the Money Go?

Participation is free, but we ask that you consider making a donation, to help lift the burden and suffering for those who are battling COVID-19 on the front lines and all those who have been and will be affected.

In keeping with The Boob Ride's commitment to support charities who give 100% of the net proceeds go directly to the causes, we have decided to support #bikeforhumanity because they are aligned with our goals. The donations will go to:

  • Feeding San Diego, which is also a member of Feeding America, and Father Joe’s Villages. These organizations will provide food for our most vulnerable groups.
  • Champions For Health will support our healthcare workers in getting them the PPE they need to be safe and to continue to care for all of us.

How Do I Participate?

Sign up on the Bike For Humanity website and post your selfies, your bike, your view, and show your solidarity to @bikeforhumanity and/or #bikeforhumanity. By posting your selfies, your pictures on the your  @bikeforhumanity or #bikeforhumanity sites, you could be featured on their social pages and website! Prizes given for best scenery, funniest photo, etc!

The schedule is as follows:

  • April 25 will be our roll-out, and everybody will be separate but together, with our virtual participation on our bikes, or whatever solitary sport you’d like
  • Pre-game 8 AM – 9 AM PST
  • Ride 9 AM – 11 AM PST
  • Post Game 11 AM – 11:30 AM PST

Let's support this effort because, as Bill Walton says, "we know the value and power of sports —to bring us together– albeit alone right now— to heal, and to create a new and better tomorrow".
