The Boob Ride Invites You to Continue Supporting Breast Cancer Warriors

For more than a decade, Fun 4 Good, The Boob Ride, and Breast Cancer Angels have teamed up with one shared mission: make life a little less overwhelming for breast cancer patients in the middle of treatment.

The Boob Ride has proudly served as Fun 4 Good’s flagship fundraiser for breast cancer patients. And we’ve always kept one rule sacred: 100% of rider registration fees go directly to Breast Cancer Angels. Not 90%. Not “after expenses.” One hundred percent. Every pedal stroke, every mile, every pink-themed outfit supports patients in real, tangible ways.

And let’s be honest—spandex and feather boas are fun. Paying rent during chemotherapy? Not so much. That’s where the real work happens.

Breast Cancer Angels provides direct financial assistance to qualified breast cancer patients in active treatment. They help cover everyday living expenses like rent or mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, gas, transportation to treatment, insurance premiums, and co-pays. In other words, the unglamorous but absolutely essential stuff that keeps life functioning while someone is fighting for their health.

Their model works because it’s built on real infrastructure. BCA works closely with hospital social workers and medical providers to verify need and move quickly. Funds are distributed efficiently and responsibly—because when someone is in treatment, “we’ll get to it next quarter” is not an option.

And here’s the beautiful full-circle part: Breast Cancer Angels doesn’t just receive funds from The Boob Ride—they show up. Their volunteers help at the ride year after year, supporting riders, staffing stops, cheering participants on, and reminding everyone exactly who we are riding for. It’s not just partnership on paper. It’s partnership in action.

Meanwhile, The Boob Ride has always been less about finish lines and more about purpose. No timing chips. No podium drama. Just a community choosing to ride so that patients can focus on healing instead of wondering how to pay the electric bill. The goal has always been simple: help people get through the last mile of treatment and into remission with dignity.

Even though The Boob Ride is reaching its final chapter, the need is not crossing any finish line.

Breast cancer treatment is long. It’s expensive. It disrupts work, family stability, and daily life in ways few people see from the outside. Families still need support to keep housing secure, get to appointments, and maintain stability while navigating treatment. The urgency hasn’t changed just because the event is ending.

The ride may be concluding, but the mission rolls on.

For more than ten years, Fun 4 Good and Breast Cancer Angels have stood together to ensure that when patients are fighting their hardest battle, they are not fighting alone. Because the last mile of treatment can be the toughest stretch of all—and everyone deserves a strong support crew cheering them forward.

Please continue to support breast cancer warriors in Orange County and San Diego Counties by volunteering and donating to Breast Cancer Angels.
