Put Yourself in the Driver’s Seat: Healthy Eating, Exercise, and Mindfulness

A few months ago I went to a three session training session on mindfulness at Fullerton College. This is the new mindset for striving for balance in work, relationships, and emotional/physical health. I really enjoyed the series and what I can take from it for my students and for my survivor friends.

As part of the Komen Education series, they are offering a seminar called Put Yourself in the Driver's Seat: Healthy Eating, Exercise, and Mindfulness at the Center for Cancer and Prevention and Treatment at St. Joseph Hospital. This program will address mindfulness, as well as a healthy meal demonstration by a chef, and light exercise lead by a physical therapist. I applaud Komen and Center for taking a full pronged approach to healing and staying healthy.

The event details are as follows:

  • Date and time: Wednesday March 8th, 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Location: The Villa, 510 E. Katella Ave. Orange, CA (Dinner to be served at 5:30 pm)
  • RSVP: Call 877-459-3627 by 2/28
