Pedaling Off into the Sunset: Honoring Paul’s 17 Years of Leadership

A Grateful Farewell to Our Fearless (and Fun!) Leader, Paul Self

After 17 incredible years of vision, dedication, spreadsheets, and pink bras, our beloved President and Co-Founder, Paul Self, is officially leaving our organization. That’s right—Paul is stepping down as President of Fun 4 Good, and while we’re sad to see him leave, we are even more grateful for everything he has built, led, organized, and made wildly fun along the way.

From the very first Boob Ride (where there were probably more jokes than jerseys), Paul has been at the helm—driving growth, rallying volunteers, overseeing operations, and making sure every last marketing detail was on point. (Yes, even the cheeky slogans and strategic email campaigns had Paul’s touch.) It’s no exaggeration to say that The Boob Ride—and Fun 4 Good itself—would not be what it is today without his tireless leadership, creative ideas, and, let’s be honest, his deep love of being on stage with a mic.

Paul didn’t just help start a nonprofit; he helped build a movement. Thanks to his commitment, The Boob Ride has expanded year after year, bringing together thousands of riders, raising thousands of dollars, and supporting survivors with a mix of passion, purpose, and, of course, a whole lot of fun. His unofficial title is vulgar genius and he has taken pride in his ability to be irreverent by taking us right up to the line. We will miss his jokes and all his antics.

We know Paul didn’t do it for the glory (although he did look pretty good in those limited-edition Boob Ride jerseys), but we’d be remiss not to give him a huge shout-out. The long hours, the meetings, the event-day chaos—Paul gave it all, and we are so incredibly thankful for his heart, his humor, and his leadership.  While our riders benefitted from his insightful (albeit colorful) pre-ride talks and boundless energy on stage, what you didn't see was all the work he put in designing jerseys, building and maintaining our website and software, and basically keeping us organized for so many years.

Though he’s stepping away from the presidency, we know Paul isn’t going far. (Let’s be honest—he'll probably do next year's ride.) So, here’s to you, Paul—thank you for 17 years of service, sacrifice, and truly unforgettable rides.

We’ll miss calling you Mr. President, but we’ll always be proud to call you our friend, our founder, and the original Head Boob.

With endless gratitude and lots of pink love,
The Fun 4 Good Team
